De single “Een Beetje verliefd†werd de voorloper uit een rij van 14 gloednieuwe liedjes, die zijn verzameld op het nieuwe album “Geluk, hoop en liefdeâ€. Frans Bauer tekende opnieuw voor alle 14 liedjes en produceerde deze samen met Laurens van Wessel. De titel van het nieuwe album “Geluk, hoop en liefde†dekt voortreffelijk de lading van de 14 muzikale parels, die stuk voor stuk het predikaat levenslied mogen dragen. Op “Geluk, hoop en liefde†laat Frans Bauer zien, dat hij ingewikkelde thema's niet vermijdt. Ook het beladen lied “De hemel heeft er een engel bijâ€, wat hij speciaal schreef voor zijn overleden vader, is onderdeel van het album. Het nummer werd indertijd enkel op youtube openbaar gemaakt en werd voor velen een stille ode aan overleden dierbaren. De ongekroonde koning van het levenslied keert weer terug naar zijn roots, met herkenbare klanken voor de grote schare liefhebbers van Nederlandstalige muziek.
