Steel-O-Chain 8807K 85cm Deze Steel-O-Chain van ABUS is een traditioneel kettingslot met 7 mm dikke, vierkante schakels. Alles zit netjes in een nylonhoes, wat goed is om schade aan carrosserie of verf te verhinderen. Met een lengte van 85 cm kan je één motorfiets of scooter veilig bevestigen aan een extern vast voorwerp, zoals een paal of een rek. De automatisch sluitende cilinder is beveiligd tegen uitboren. Met Security Level 8 biedt dit slot een goede bescherming bij 'gemiddeld' diefstalrisico. Net zoals vrijwel alle sloten geldt evenwel dat het ontradende effect net zo belangrijk is als de effectieve bescherming. De gelegenheid maakt de dief, dus tracht je zo weinig mogelijk gelegenheid te bieden. Ketting, slotbehuizing en de interne elementen van het slotmechanisme zijn vervaardigd uit speciaal gehard staal. Voor optimale diefstalbescherming zorg je ervoor dat het kettingslot niet op of vlakbij de grond geplaatst wordt: zo bescherm je de ketting en het sluitingsmechanisme tegen hardhandige manipulatie. Het ABUS Steel-O-Chain 8807K-kettingslot wordt standaard geleverd met twee sleutels. De ketting kan relatief compact opgevouwen en dus makkelijk meegenomen worden.
