Zijn design met karakteristieke arcadekast-stick en zijn techniek (bijvoorbeeld de iconisch luid klikkende microschakelaars binnenin) zijn dezelfde als die van de originele COMPETITION PRO van de jaren 80, de befaamde joystick voor personal computers.

Volledig in deze trend is hij digitaal uitgerust en aangepast voor arcade- en retro-spellen. Om ervoor te zorgen dat je die ook direct bij de hand hebt, ontvang je bij deze COMPETITION PRO EXTRA in totaal 20 spellen om te downloaden, één voor elk jubileumjaar van Speedlink, met onder andere nieuwe interpretaties van retro-pareltjes zoals Summer Games en arcade-titels in de sfeer van de grote pc-klassiekers.

De joystick is dankzij DirectInput snel en zonder stuurprogramma te installeren en direct klaar voor gebruik.
