Streetdanser Luke (Rick Malambri) beschouwt een verlaten warenhuis in New York als zijn enige thuis. Daar komen de beste streetdancers van de hele wereld bijeen om hun dansmoves te perfectioneren. Wanneer Luke en zijn danscrew, The House of Pirates, het pand dreigen te verliezen, is hun laatste hoop gevestigd op het winnen van de World Jam- wedstrijd. Met het prijzengeld kunnen zij hun thuisbasis en danshaven behouden.

Om zijn crew te versterken gaat Luke op zoek naar nieuw talent in de ondergrondse dansscene van New York. Uiteindelijk vindt hij de twee dansers die hij nodig had: de mysterieuze Natalie (Sharni Vinson) en Moose (bekend uit Step Up2). Maar Nathalie draagt een geheim met zich mee dat niet alleen schadelijk is voor hun opbloeiende liefde, maar voor alles waar de Pirates hun leven aan hebben gewijd.
