Een T2 adapterring wordt gebruikt om uw spiegelreflex camera aan te sluiten op de camera adapter van bijvoorbeeld telescopen, microscopen verrekijkers en spottingscopes. Op uw telescoop schroeft u dan bijvoorbeeld een bij de telescoop behorende camera-adapter, en met een T2 ring maakt u deze camera-adapter vervolgens geschikt voor de bajonetaansluiting op uw spiegelreflex camera. U verwijdert dan het objectief van uw camera, en klikt de T2 ring rechtstreeks aan de camerabody.
Deze T2-ring is geschikt voor de analoge toestellen van Canon (EOS, dus niet EOS-D).
