De Canon MT-26EX-RT Macro Twin Light is een veelzijdige en krachtige macroflitser voor gebruik met Canon EOS-camera's. Door de mogelijkheid om te fotograferen in beperkte ruimtes zijn er veel toepassingen zoals product- en macrofotografie, maar ook medische, tandheelkundige en culinaire fotografie. De MT-26EX-RT beschikt over twee verlichtingseenheden die over zowel een flitser als een LED-instellamp beschikken. Er zijn ten opzichte van de voorganger, de MT-24EX, verschillende verbeteringen, zoals een hoger richtgetal van 26.

De lampen worden op de lens gemonteerd en ze zijn in stappen van vijf graden rond de lens te positioneren. Je kunt de lampen omhoog en omlaag en naar binnen of buiten richten om de gewenste lichtval te krijgen. Zijlicht bijvoorbeeld benadrukt de structuur van het onderwerp. De lampen zijn uitgerust met nieuwe diffusors die het flitslicht verzachten, maar je kunt de lichtopbrengst ook verlagen. De besturingseenheid wordt in de flitsschoen van de camera geplaatst. De oplaadtijd bedraagt 5.5s of - bij gebruik van de optionele CP-E4N-accu - slechts 2.5s.

Draadloze functies

De MT26EX-RT beschikt over Radio Wireless Master-functionaliteit waardoor hij andere Speedlite-flitsers draadloos aan kan sturen. Je kunt maximaal 15 flitsers in 5 groepen aansturen, om bijvoorbeeld de achtergrond te verlichten of tegenlicht te creëren. Je kunt de belichting van de externe flitsers vanaf de MT-26EX regelen, maar een volledig automatische bediening is ook mogelijk.
