Per eind augustus 2017 is het retinoïdeportfolio van The Ordinary uitgebreid op basis van waardevolle feedback van klanten. Als onderdeel van deze introducties is Advanced Retinoid 2% omgedoopt tot Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion om overeen te stemmen met de nieuwe naamconventie van het uitgebreide assortiment. Deze formule biedt nog steeds een emulsie van 2% van hetzelfde geavanceerde retinoïdecomplex.Deze formule combineert twee nieuwe vormen van retinoïsche actieve ingrediënten:a) Een concentratie van 2% Granactive Retinoid™, een complex van opgelost hydroxypinacolone retinoaat (HPR). HPR is een zeer geavanceerde vorm van retinoïde, in feite een zonder recept verkrijgbaar ester van all-trans direct retinoïnezuur dat een veel beter effect biedt tegen de tekenen van veroudering dan retinol, retinylpalmitaat en bijna alle andere vormen van zonder recept verkrijgbare retinoïde, b) Een duurzame afgiftevorm van zuiver retinol in een beschermend capsulesysteem dat zowel de
