De mythe rondom champagne is ontstaan rond 1670; de monnik Dom Pérignon zou de geestelijke vader zijn. Deze wijn is uitgegroeid tot de meest prestigieuze mousserende wijn.Champagne BrutDe term 'Brut' op het etiket geeft aan dat het gaat om een droge wijn. Het is dus geen kwaliteitsaanduiding. Brut wordt, wanneer het om champagne gaat, het meest gedronken. Het is een droge champagne, maar niet beendroog.
