ICY BOX IB-2217aStS

De ICY BOX IB-2217aStS is het kleine broertje van de IB-2227StS en biedt ruimte voor een 2,5" SATA SSD of HDD. Het vindt ook zijn vaste plaats in een 3,5" montagevak. De SSD/HDD is eenvoudig te monteren of te verwijderen zonder enige drager of gereedschap, wat ook tijdbesparend is. Ook al biedt de IB-2217aStS slechts ruimte voor één harde schijf, het is niet minder veilig. Het is beschermd tegen ongeoorloofde toegang door een slot en de metalen klem geeft het een veilige grip in de behuizing. Intern is de harde schijf aangesloten via een SATA-connector en de LED heeft een aparte 4-pins connector. De behuizing is voornamelijk van metaal, terwijl het frontpaneel van hoogwaardig aluminium is gemaakt. Metalen staan bekend om hun uitstekende warmtegeleidingsvermogen (passieve convectie). Dit zorgt voor een zekere koelte zonder dat het verwisselbare frame luidruchtig wordt tijdens het gebruik.
