Het lot

Alice zit in het eindexamenjaar van de middelbare school. Ze is stiekem verliefd op haar beste vriend Teddy. Op weg naar zijn verjaardagsfeestje koopt ze voor de grap een lot voor hem. Bizar genoeg blijkt de hoofdprijs daar precies op te vallen: Teddy wint 140 miljoen. Alice en Teddy hebben allebei veel pech gehad in hun leven. De ouders van Alice zijn overleden toen ze nog heel klein was en niet lang daarna verdween de vader van Teddy van het toneel, waardoor zijn moeder met een grote berg schulden achterbleef. Teddy en Alice vonden toen steun in hun vriendschap en zijn sindsdien onafscheidelijk geweest. Ze zijn ervan overtuigd dat deze enorme prijzenpot niets dan geluk zal brengen. Maar is het wel zo'n droom als je denkt, de jackpot winnen?
