Smaad door de staat

Â¿U en ik hebben het grondrecht op vrijheid van meningsuiting. Dat recht is in de eerste plaats een schild tegen ongewenste overheidsbemoeienis. Maar hoe zit het met de overheid zelf? Heeft de overheid zelf ook vrijheid van meningsuiting?Â¿ Met deze woorden opende Wouter Hins op 6 februari 2009 zijn rede bij de aanvaarding van het ambt van bijzonder hoogleraar mediarecht aan de Universiteit Leiden. De oratie gaat in op drie vragen: Kan de overheid zich beroepen op vrijheid van meningsuiting? Welke grondrechten kunnen worden geschonden door een meningsuiting? Hoe moeten de betrokken belangen tegen elkaar worden afgewogen? Wouter Hins bezet de door het Leids Universiteits Fonds gefinancierde bijzondere leerstoel Pers-, omroep- en mediarecht. De leerstoel is ondergebracht bij eLaw@Leiden, centrum voor recht in de informatiemaatschappij. Daarnaast is Hins universitair docent staats- en bestuursrecht bij de Universiteit van Amsterdam en onderzoeker bij het Instituut voor Informatierecht (IVIR) te Amsterdam.

But nowadays fashion is not such unavailable as it was a couple of centuries ago. We are lucky to have an opportunity to buy qualitative, fashionable and affordable clothes.
