Dit verhaal beschrijft de machteloosheid wanneer de oorzaken van allerlei klachten niet opgespoord kunnen worden. Voor specialisten is het niet altijd gemakkelijk om erachter te komen wat er aan de hand is, maar voor de patiënt zelf ook niet. Er zijn altijd oorzaken te bedenken wanneer het niet goed gaat: te druk met gezin en werk, overbelasting, etc. etc. In dit verhaal wordt alles genoemd wat er zich bij de patiënt op medisch gebied heeft afgespeeld, ook al heeft het mogelijk niets te maken met de systeemziekte. Vooral op sportief gebied merkte ze dat ze steeds minder ging functioneren. Maar naast onverklaarbare klachten waardoor haar conditie achteruit ging, waren er ook duidelijk zichtbare klachten door sportblessures. Zo lopen er continu verschillende verhalen door elkaar heen. Wat wijst op een systeemziekte en wat wijst op iets anders zal ongetwijfeld nooit helemaal terug te leiden zijn. Patiënte heeft al haar sportaantekeningen door de jaren heen bewaard. Ze besloot ze naast haar medisch dossier te leggen.
