De zappende ziel

Wanneer Lambik op een dag zichzelf vanuit het verleden wil terugflitsen naar het heden neemt hij, zonder het te beseffen, een onzichtbare geest met zich mee. Plots blijken allerlei voorwerpen tot leven te komen wat het leven van onze vrienden danig op zijn kop te zet. De geest is blijkbaar de ziel van een vreemdsoortig wezen dat ooit in het oude Griekenland leefde. Hij is al jaren vruchteloos op zoek naar zijn geliefde en de wanhoop nabij. Natuurlijk willen Suske en Wiske en hun vrienden de arme ziel helpen: ze vertrekken naar het oude Griekenland. Daar wil koning Demetrios koste wat het kost de stad Rhodos veroveren waarbij hij geen enkel middel schuwt, ook al leidt dit tot de ondergang van de verliefde zielen. Wat volgt is een wervelend avontuur waarin onze vrienden het opnemen tegen allerlei gevaarlijke Griekse creaturen!
