Sluijters, Gestel, Kelder - Kees van der Geer

Toon Kelder, Jan Sluijters, Leo Gestel en Charley Toorop waren ruim vertegenwoordigd in de collectie van de Amsterdamse poelier en autohandelaar Wim Selderbeek (1884-1963). Hij verzamelde tijdens zijn leven meer dan 350 kunstwerken van gerenommeerde tijdgenoten. Zijn vriendschappen met kunstenaars, Cornelis Baard, directeur van het Stedelijk Museum en verzamelaars als Paul Rijkens en Piet Boendermaker, plaatsen hem midden in het culturele leven van die tijd. Na zijn overlijden raakte de verzameling in de vergetelheid. Auteur Kees van der Geer reconstrueerde de collectie en bezorgt de (top)werken uit zijn verzameling weer de aandacht die zij verdienen.
