Het Nieuwe Werk dichtwerk Gilles de Kesteloo is het pseudoniem van de schrijver die met de bundel “Ratatouille” in het voorjaar van 2021 zijn eerste werk publiceerde. En nu ligt hier: “Het Nieuwe Werk”. Er is met gedrevenheid aan deze bundel gewerkt om de eigen stijl van de auteur, de vorm en inhoud verder te ontwikkelen en zo bij te dragen aan diversiteit van het genre. In de Haiku hoort personificatie niet thuis, maar in de Senryu wel. En zo mag in de Kyoka wat in de Tanka niet is toegestaan. Zowel in Haiku als in Tanka leeft de auteur het gebruik van het klassieke aantal klanklettergrepen van 5,7,5 en 5,7,5,7,7 nagenoeg geheel na. Tussen de haakjes vindt u een richtwoord, zoals dat door Spoken Haiku vertolkers in de USA wordt gebruikt.
