De Eroev van Jeruzalem

De Franse fotografe Sophie Calle trekt het spoor na van de omgrenzing van de rituele ruimte van Jeruzalem, de eroev.Binnen de eroev van Jeruzalem vraagt ze bewoners, Israëliërs en Palestijnen, om haar mee te nemen naar een plaats in de openbare ruimte die voor hen een privé-karakter heeft.Wat een eroev is, wordt in tekst en fotografie in het boekje weergegeven.In 14 Staties worden de persoonlijke indrukken van de bewoners in tekst en met foto weergegeven. De vertaling uit het Frans is van Rokus Hofstede.Het boekje is vormgegeven als een leporello waardoor de rituele ruimte de plaats met een privé-karakter omsluit.Een typisch SOPHIE CALLE project!
