Canada here we come... again!

Janet Hofstra en Jeroen Bos besluiten in 2003 de aantrekkingskracht van Canada niet langer links te laten liggen en een emigratie op te starten. Niets lijkt hun in de weg te staan om samen met hun drie kleine kinderen dit avontuur aan te gaan. Maar het loopt anders... In haar boek beschrijft Janet de ongeplaveide weg richting vertrek uit Nederland. Het visumtraject herbergt de ene begrenzing na de andere onmogelijkheid. Steeds als hun grote vertrek nabij lijkt, ligt er een nieuwe uitdaging op de loer waarmee hun emigratie wordt uitgesteld. Volhardend gooien de emigranten in spe alle wapens in de strijd. Hoe ver moet je gaan om dromen na te jagen? Maar dan wordt het voortdurend opgeschorte vertrek onverwacht realiteit. In 2009 zet het gezin eindelijk voet op Canadese bodem. Waar ontroerende verschillen, vermakelijke belevenissen, sprakeloos geluk, maar ook onoverbrugbare kilometers voor een turbulente inburgering zorgen.
